How I edit my Photos

Hi Teens!
Today I thought I would share with you how I take my photos and how I edit them.
First I thought I would answer some questions about my camera and editing apps I have and love!
What camera do I use?
I do have a camera, but I prefer to use my phone ( iPhone 6) as I know I always have it on me - and it takes great pictures!
2. What apps do I use for editing?
At the moment I'm loving VSCO

How I edit my pictures!
I take all my pictures with no affect because I know I'm going to edit them later!
Once I'm happy with a photo, I'll open VSCO and start editing!
My favourite filters to use are HB1, HB2, M3, M5 and T1 but I turn it down to around 9.

Next I turn the Temperature down to around -2

Then I turn my Exposure to around +2

Next I turn the contrast down to -4
I also turn the Clarity and the Saturation up to about +2
Then I turn the Highlight and Shadows Save to around +9
Next I turn my tint up to around +3
Normal I also turn my Fade up to around +11
Then I turn my Highlight and Shadow to to to around +4/6

All of these steps change depending on the photo- so the best thing to do if just experiment.

Before & After

I'll see you soon!

Christmassy Q&A | Merry Christmas Everyone

Hi Teens!
Today as its Christmas (yayyyy) I thought I would do a Christmassy Q&A! I asked on Instagram ( follow me @ellimurrell)  what questions you wanted answering, and these are them!
Let's get started!

What's your favourite Christmas emoji:
Definitely the Christmas Tree!

Favourite Christmas song:
At the moment it has to be Mistletoe by Justin Bieber. 'It's the most beautiful time of the year!'

Where in the world do you think is the most Christmassy?
Somewhere cold- maybe Lapland. Although Germany is very festive especially when it's snowing!

If you had to give up one Christmas tradition what would it be?
Agh, hard one! Probably give up having sprouts ( who actually likes sprouts?) at Christmas dinner.

I hope you enjoyed this blog it's just to wish you all a Merry Christmas and I hope you have a great day and spend it with all your loved ones! I hope you got everything you wanted and asked for.
If you don't celebrate Christmas I hope you have a great day and spend it with your loved ones.
Hopefully this got you more in the Christmassy mood if you aren't already!

Day 2 in Germany | 2 Sleeps Till Christmas

Hi Teens!
Hope you enjoyed the blog yesterday, this one is very similar. Today I went to another Christmas market in the English Gardens in Munich. We didn't have to travel far to reach it as my stepmum lives quite nearby. This Christmas market is the one we always go to every Christmas when I'm over visiting my stepmum. I love this market as it has a lovely lake and woods around it and is a really traditional market. It was also such a nice day and the sky was so clear, it really didn't feel like Winter!

Hope you enjoyed this blog, sorry it wasn't as long as usual as we didn't get up to much today.

Day 1 in Germany | 3 Sleeps till Christmas

Hi Teens!
I'm spending two days (21st and 22nd) in Germany visiting my stepmum before Christmas and I thought I would share with you what I'm doing and some photos on both days, if you want to see some more photos- follow my Instagram @ellimurrell.
Today I went to a gorge/ valley and mountains, they were SO beautiful!

It was about a 40 minute drive to the mountains but the drive went so quick as the view was amazing and we were all singing along to Christmas songs (thank you Spotify-@theteengoals) in the car. Once we got there it was a 10 minute walk to the gorge though if you walk with me it takes about 20 minutes as I stop so often to take photos!

I also went to a Christmas market in the evening which was was really pretty and had the biggest Christmas tree you'll ever see! We only had to get on the underground to reach this Christmas market though there is a Christmas market on every corner! I love the Christmas markets as they are such a German thing and are were all well done.

These are the traditional dresses known as Dirndl they wear these  more at the end of September/ start of October for something called the Oktoberfest. They also wear these dresses at Christmas time.

I'll see you tomorrow for another blog about what I got up to!

Early Christmas | 9 Sleeps Till Christmas

Hi Teens!

Me and my best friends decided to do an early Christmas this year as we were having a sleepover altogether and wanted to see each other's reactions to our presents. (To be honest the truth is that we just couldn't wait any longer!)
This blog may inspire you and give you some ideas of what to get your besties for Christmas!
It's going to be a long blog so you make want to snuggle up, get a hot chocolate and enjoy... because that's what I'm doing right now!

 What's in the box:

Rimmel London- 808 Your Majesty.
I live for the '60 Second Dry' nail polish range by Rimmel London because I'm literally the most impatient person you'll ever meet and I'll normally smudge any other nail polishes and get really annoyed!

 Penguin Socks
These are so cute! I LOVE Christmas socks- I'll be sure to wear these on Christmas Day!

 Snowman Bed Socks
I love these bed socks they are so comfy and keep my feet nice and toasty

7th heaven - Very Berry Mud Mask
I love these face masks. Face masks are a great thing to do at sleepovers and I find that they help me to relax and de-stress. They also really help my skin.

Pug Eye mask
I needed this so much as I can't get to sleep without it being dark, this is such a cute eye mask and so comfy.

Creative Coloring - Pretty Patterns
These are so great. I've been loving these this year as they are such a good way to relax and de-stress. I have about five now and trust me they make such a great present as you can't go wrong with them!

Penguin Christmas tree decoration
This is SO cute, I love it so much and it's so soft. It makes a great addition to my Christmas tree!

 Personalized mug
This is a really nice touch and something personal that will make me think about memories with this person every time I use it! I love things like this and they are a great thing to give someone as there is nothing else like it!

What I got my two best friends;

Notebooks

These are from Ohh Deer.
I love Ohh Deer http://m.ohhdeer.com/ they do absolutely great notebooks and stationary. I found out about this company from Zoella (Zoe Sugg) and Pointless Blogs (Alfie Deyes) videos. I'm really tempted to order some for myself! The notebooks make a great present for everyone as a notebook is always really useful, mine also came really quick - so that was very good!

Camera Lens
These are from Amazon. I saw these in a video of Pointless Blogs (Alfie Deyes). These clip-on-camera lenses are a great stocking filler and are really good quality for an aspiring photographer! I love using my phone to take photos on (I use the iPhone 6- which I LOVE!) and these help take so much better photos! They are also quite cheap. Love these and will be buying myself some after Christmas!

I hope you enjoyed this blog and I'll see you on Friday!
